Saturday: Cleaned the Outside of the House and Accidentally Felt Like an Adult
You know when you do something responsible and it weirdly feels good? That was me this weekend. I finally tackled the outside of the house. Well… hired someone to tackle it. Same difference.
I was originally just going to get the windows cleaned because they were beyond saving. Called up Clearview Cheshire and booked window cleaning Northwich with them. Easy. Turns out they do way more than just windows. Dangerous information to have when you’re on a roll.
After they cleaned the windows (which looked amazing, by the way — actual light came through them again), I ended up adding pressure washing Northwich for the garden paths. Watching the grime disappear was low-key hypnotic. I may have made tea just to have an excuse to stand there watching.
Then I noticed the patio. Couldn’t not notice it once everything else was clean. So I asked about patio cleaning Northwich and they squeezed it in. The transformation was actually wild. It had gone from “I’ll probably fall if I walk on this” to “we should have lunch out here.”
Same story with the driveway. Wasn’t even on my radar at first, but after everything else was sparkling, it looked tragic by comparison. Booked driveway cleaning Northwich for the following week. It had tyre marks, weeds, weird patches — the full set. Now it basically looks brand new.
And THEN — because I was clearly in too deep by now — I got them to do roof cleaning Northwich too. Didn’t even realise how much moss had taken over up there. They cleared it without wrecking the tiles, cleaned the gutters while they were at it, and now the roof actually looks like part of the house again.
To be fair, the whole thing kind of snowballed. But I can’t lie — it feels really good to have the outside sorted. Like I live in a Pinterest board or something. I even caught the neighbour peeking out the window with “hmm maybe we should do that” energy.
The team was sound, didn’t upsell or pressure me into anything, and left everything tidy. If you’re thinking of doing the same, start with something small. Just a window clean. But I’m warning you — once you see how nice it looks, you’ll want to clean the whole place.
Anyway, that’s what I accidentally did this weekend instead of watching Netflix. Highly recommend.
